{"id":1907,"date":"2019-10-25T10:03:53","date_gmt":"2019-10-25T09:03:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ukogl.org.uk\/?p=1907"},"modified":"2019-10-31T08:13:20","modified_gmt":"2019-10-31T08:13:20","slug":"well-formation-tops-new-search-facility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ukogl.org.uk\/blog\/well-formation-tops-new-search-facility\/","title":{"rendered":"Well Formation Tops \u2013 New Search Facility"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>UKOGL have implemented an expanded and improved well search capability\nto the online interactive map focusing on the Well Formation Tops information that\nis held for each well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accessible via the contents panel, \u2018Wells\u2019 and \u2018Additional Selected Boreholes\u2019 can now be searched separately using a new set of filters and search options, these include:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well Formation &amp; Well Formation Age<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bottom Hole Age &amp; Bottom Hole Formation <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well Operator<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To search both the OGA &#8216;Wells&#8217; and the &#8216;Additional Selected Boreholes&#8217; separate searches should be performed on each well set.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For each set of wells the selected filters can be combined together and the results are automatically displayed on the map to quickly and easily target the displayed information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example Search Summary<\/strong>: The Well Formation Tops search options are located on the content side panel of the interactive map selected via:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wells &gt; Surface Locations &gt; Search Box<\/strong> or <strong>Wells&gt;Additional Selected Boreholes&gt;Search Box<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1476\" height=\"909\" src=\"https:\/\/ukogl.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Image01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1908\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Bottom Hole Age and Bottom Hole Formation can be filtered and searched using the \u2018Drop down\u2019 menu or by entering text in to the search box and selecting the filtered context suggestions.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1482\" height=\"897\" src=\"https:\/\/ukogl.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Image02.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1909\"\/><figcaption><br><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>On the &#8216;Bottom-Hole Age or older&#8217; selection click on the \u2018tick\u2019 box to display all wells that also have a Bottom-Hole Age \u2018older\u2019 than the selected Bottom-Hole Age.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Formation Age and Formation Tops can be filtered and searched using the \u2018Drop down\u2019 menu or by entering text in to the search box and selecting the filtered context suggestion. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1487\" height=\"949\" src=\"https:\/\/ukogl.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Image03.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1911\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>On the &#8216;Formation Age or older&#8217; selection click on the \u2018tick\u2019 box to display all wells that also contain formations older than the selected Formation Age.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The filtered results are displayed on the map with the option to zoom  to the extent of the returned search results.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1477\" height=\"923\" src=\"https:\/\/ukogl.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Image04.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1912\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>All filters can be combined to further refine each search performed upon the wells with each search result depicted by the wells displayed on the interactive map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the \u2018Remove layer filters\u2019 icon to cancel all filters and re-display all available onshore wells.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UKOGL have implemented an expanded and improved well search capability to the online interactive map focusing on the Well Formation Tops information that is held for each well.
